The recent 3G Telecom bids have been good for the Government, but the high bids will ensure that the major telecom companies will end up on the loser side. The traffic and revenues that may be added through 3 G services in India may not be as high as the companies expect, as Value Addes Services ( VAS ) have never been popular in India. This can spell bad news for major telcos like Rcom, Bharti, and Idea.
