The FIIs have been net sellers of equities on the Indian bourses continuously since February 17, and their total net sales in this period have been almost Rs 4700 crore-about $ 1 billion. This kind of selling has had its impact, and today we are very close to October 2008 lows for the indices, and much lower in case of some specific frontline stocks. It seems that the FII selling is largely due to the fear of political uncertainty after the elections. However according to many analysts, we may be very close to a bottom . |
